Oh no.
-- REY MYSTERIO vs SHANNON MOORE --
-- MATT HARDY vs ZACH GOWEN --
Didn't watch any of Heat so I can't comment on any of the match's.
WWE SUMMERSLAM LIVE
-- DUDLEY BOYS vs LA RΙSISTANCE --
Altho I don't like it when Americans think they are the best but I still wanted the Dudley Boys to win. It was a nice start to Summerslamand was a match worth watching.
Match rating - 7.5/10
-- EDDIE GUERRERO vs CHRIS BENOIT vs TAJIRI vs RHYNO --
Exciting all the way through. One of the only matchs which I couldn't take my eyes off the action fo even a second. In the end my favourite won. Good one Guerrero!
Match rating - 9/10
-- A-TRAIN vs UNDERTAKER --
Could have been the worse match at Summerslam on first look out of all of the match's but it did turn out to be ok, well when I say ok I mean watchable, when I say watchable I mean it was as good as watching paint dry. So not hugely exciting but still, it took up time.
Match rating - 4/10
-- ERIC BISCHOFF vs SHANE McMAHON --
As I haven't watched WWE for ages, probably since the old days when it was still WWF but I was totaly shocked when Coach attacked Shane. A good surprise tho and it was a good to see excitiment back into Summerslam. Shanes flying elbow taking Bischoff through the table was great and look like that had to hurt both men just as bad. I also like it when Austin did he famous stunner on Bischoff.
Match rating - 9/10
-- BROCK LESNAR vs KURT ANGLE --
This was a good match but to tell the truth I just got bored of it as I didn't care who won. I know Angle won but how are you meant to beat Lesnar as he just looks to good for everyone else.
Match rating - 6/10
-- KANE vs ROB VAN DAM --
Rob an Dam was class in this match and I was cheer him on to win but it was kind of obliviously that Kane would win as he looked extremely cross and sounds like he had caused alot of trouble over the past week. So he had to continue in his path of destruction. I must also mention some good use of the chair by Rob Van Dam.
Match rating - 8.5/10
-- TRIPLE H vs RANDY ORTON vs CHRIS JERICHO vs GOLDBERG vs SHAWN MICHAELS vs KEVIN NASH --
The Elimination Chamber match was the best match for me as I have never seen it in use before. It was a bit boring to sart of with but got better and better as time went on. I Wanted Goldberg to win as he was the one who eliminated most people and he look favorite to take the title but thats just not WWE. Something majour had to happen so a hammer to the head was good enough to help Triple H to win.
Match rating - 9.5/10
--OVERALL THOUGHTS--
As I haven't seen WWE for a while I can't say how good it was compared to recent match's but it was interesting to watch so it's good enough for me.
......Anyway. Please tell me what you dont agree with. I'm in a real mood for shredding the WWE to pieces(as you may have noticed)
Anyway.....
WWE HEAT LIVE
-- REY MYSTERIO vs SHANNON MOORE --
(Winner :: Rey Mysterio)
I didn't watch Heat, so I'll discuss the outcome. Oh, it just puts Rey over. Thats all. They need to find an challenger thats over with the fans for Rey.
-- MATT HARDY vs ZACH GOWEN --
(Winner :: Matt Hardy)
This promo done no favours to Matt's character. Discuss...
I only saw the PPV highlights, but from what I saw, the promo did Hardy's character good. He is a heel. Heels are bad. Moving on......
WWE SUMMERSLAM LIVE
Now, my reactions will be more detailed because I actually saw Summerslam.
-- DUDLEY BOYS vs LA RΙSISTANCE --
(Winners :: La Rιsistance)
The match itself.
It was average. It should have been a table match to spice things up.Notice the fans didn't really care except for the occasional "tables" chant? The tag titles are really losing image and WWE need to do something fast to bring them back. A suggestion would be bringing back the New Age Outlaws. hmmmmm? What do ya think of that?
Little Spike Dudley's interferance.
You call it interferance? He ran in and got beat up. The significance of it is a Six-man tag for either Raw or Unforgiven. Either way, I'm already yawning.
Rob Conway in general. How do you see his future?
I haven't seen the guys wrestling skills so, I dunno. but they should seperate him from La Resistance.
-- EDDIE GUERRERO vs CHRIS BENOIT vs TAJIRI vs RHYNO --
(Winner :: Eddie Guerrero)
First off, Match of the night. Hands down.
The three-on-one element.
The three on one element lasted all of two seconds, so it was pointless.
The outcome.
It is strange that Eddie floored everyone on Smackdown! last week, and also won the match, totally putting him over, and not doing any favours for the rest. Hmm. I liked the last few minutes of this match, as it was a shining example of the talent the WWE has, but continues to keep at a mid-card level. Shame.
Where now?
Push Benoit to Main Event, possibly a feud with Lesnar.
I suppose Eddie will defend against Rhyno or Tajiri again. They have two months before the next Smackdown! PPV to decide, so whatever.
Eddie does make a good champion, though, and does alot for the US title.
-- A-TRAIN vs UNDERTAKER --
(Winner: Undertaker)
The whole injured ribs angle. Taken too far?
An injury angle always heats things up(and GOD, this needed heating up), so I approve of it. Remember DDP's similar angle in WCW, it worked well, so why shouldn't this? The real question is what's next for 'taker? I personally don't know.
The outcome.
I can't even remember. Was it a chokeslam? Yes. Sable's bit didn't work for me. And as for Stephaine......
Stephanie clapping The Undertaker for over a minute.
Its all wasted. Undertaker was best as a semi-heel(when he had the title), now his character is getting old. One last plea for the DEADMAN angle to return.....
-- ERIC BISCHOFF vs SHANE McMAHON --
(Winner :: Shane McMahon)
The Coach FINALLY turning heel.
It's about time. I think it was ruined by the fact that his interferance didn't do much good. Enough on that.
Bischoff and Coach's relationship.
"You're the best announcer in the business"
No, Eric, I think you'll find he's the worst. If anything Bischoff is the best announcer in the business(WCW anyone?).
Austin attacking both Bisch and Coach after being 'provoked'.
I am tired of Austin getting one over Bischoff at every PPV. Its a joke.
There is something called "letting the heel get some heat". WWE are ruining Bischoff. It brings a tear to my eye....
Shane flying again.
I expected more, to be honest. and I still think bischoff should have won for his and Coach's sake. Bah.
Linda sleaping with Bischoff.
Lets forget that angle, shall we.
-- BROCK LESNAR vs KURT ANGLE --
(Winner :: Kurt Angle)
Does Vince have a mirror? That shirt was hideous.
I noted that also! He usually wears the suit or the open collared white shirt. Strange......
Kurt trying to break Lesnar's ankle.
Did he? Or was that what Michael tried to call?
Kurt is a honourable athelete(or so his gimmick says), so I will stick with:"he was trying to get him to tap"
Angle Slam on the chair to birthday boy Vince.
It got a nice pop from the crowd, and to tell you the truth, I liked it to.
"They've done all they can with each other now" - Hercules. Discuss.
I agree. Angle has won this feud, and it SHOULD be over.
And on a side note, this match was a horrible let down, proof alone to end the feud.
-- KANE vs ROB VAN DAM --
(Winner :: Kane)
Kane slipping off the top rope. :c)
I recorded the PPV, and enjoyed watching that over and over.....
The crowd actually laugh at him before chanting "You F***ed up!"
Hilarious.
Lots of chairs and feet from RVD.
He got many "ECW" chants for this, and frankly, I liked it too. Good work RVD.
The rather crap finish.
"OH MY GOD! STEEL CHAIR IN THE FACE OF KANE!"- JR's call after the Van-Terminator, lucky he had The King to tell him that RVD actually missed.
This would have ben a contender for Match Of The Night, except for the abrupt ending and the NO-SELL(as far as I am concerned) of the Tombstone on the steps.
-- TRIPLE H vs RANDY ORTON vs CHRIS JERICHO vs GOLDBERG vs SHAWN MICHAELS vs KEVIN NASH --
(Winner :: Triple H)
Randy Orton inside the Chamber.
Errr.... Was he injured? He did nothing special at all. Proof that he shouldn't have been pushed so early.
Chris Jericho inside the Chamber.
Yet another sterling performance from Jericho. (see match as a whole for more)
Shawn Michaels inside the Chamber.
Good performance.(see match as a whole)
Kevin Nash inside the Chamber.
As far as I can see, he proved himself at this PPV, he was one of the strongest points of the match. Bravo.
Triple H inside the Chamber.
Was he inside? I thought he just interfered at the end?
Goldberg inside the Chamber.
Crap, utterly crap. Yet the five year olds still scream for him. Bah. Boo him you idiots!
The outcome.
I can't tell you how happy I am that Triple H won. If Goldberg ever wins that title I will weep a thousand tears.
The end was actually quite good. The sledgehammer shot put a huge smile on my face and I actually laughed out loud as the referee counted to three. The only problem is we have to watch Goldberg vs HHH at Unforgiven.
The match as a whole.
This match was great for the first 12 minutes, that is, before Goldberg got involved. What were they thinking?! He eliminated Orton Michaels and jericho in the space of a minute! I was so disgusted when he eliminated Michaels and Jericho. Two of WWE's biggest talent! They were pawns to Goldberg's self-glorification. I hated it. Yes, HATED IT!
This match was not a patch on the first Chamber match.
The use of the environment.
Pretty poor, really. No jumping from the chambers or anything.
Goldberg falling over whilst walking to the ring.
Another example of how crap he is. Remember kids, only retards fall on their @sses.
Raven-ous's Bonus Section:
HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT:
Goldberg losing. Hah.
"SLAM OF THE NIGHT"(in "Slam of the week" stlye):
Eddie Guerrerro's Frog Splash on Rhyno for the sneaky win.
MATCH OF THE NIGHT:
The Fatal Four Way. Of course. I explained why above.
WORST MATCH OF THE NIGHT:
Bischoff vs Shane, Eric should have won, for reasons already explained.
LETDOWN OF THE NIGHT:
Shared by BOTH brand's Main Event(Kurt vs Brock and The Chamber)
THAT shows how wrong the WWE are getting it.
QUOTES OF THE NIGHT:
"Are you stupid, or blonde, or both?!"
Bischoff to Terri. Heh.
"He didn't see it, but he damn sure felt it!"
On Goldberg's meeting with the sledgehammer.
Well thats it. Thanks for reading.
I thought Angle/Brock at Wrestlemania was far more energetic than this encounter which I felt was a little jaded and lacked a bit of zip. The fatal 4-way had that energy. Jericho winning would have been so much better.
-- REY MYSTERIO vs SHANNON MOORE --
-- MATT HARDY vs ZACH GOWEN --
Never watched Heat... So there! :D
WWE SUMMERSLAM LIVE
-- DUDLEY BOYS vs LA RΙSISTANCE --
Nice starter match. It went OK although I was rooting for a Dudley victory. I can see La Resistance losing the titles soon...
-- EDDIE GUERRERO vs CHRIS BENOIT vs TAJIRI vs RHYNO --
Yey. An Eddie victory! :) This match ruled. Definately my favourite from the whole PPV. Why? It was action-packed with everyone fighting at the same time and with wrestlers such as Guerrero and Benoit in this match; you can't go wrong. Brilliant. :)
-- A-TRAIN vs UNDERTAKER --
Better than I thought it would be although it was rubbish. Slow and boring could be 2 words to describe the most of it. Oh yeah, and Taker won! What a surprise... Duh! :D
-- ERIC BISCHOFF vs SHANE McMAHON --
Good match. Shanes flying elbow taking Bischoff through the table was great and Coach (Or Cochman as pumba calls him ;)) turning heel was a big surprise for me - Something I never expected. It'll be interesting to see where they go with this angle! I liked the part where Coach was pushed into Austin... Stunner! Great! :D
-- BROCK LESNAR vs KURT ANGLE --
The match was OK although I did get kinda bored! The Angle victory was good and Vince getting Angle slammed onto the chair was also good. Heh. :)
-- KANE vs ROB VAN DAM --
Well, it was obvious Kane would win continuing his path of destruction but the match was OK - Could have been better. Kane surprised me with his sloppy mistake falling off the top rope! That'll do no good for his character! :D
-- TRIPLE H vs RANDY ORTON vs CHRIS JERICHO vs GOLDBERG vs SHAWN MICHAELS vs KEVIN NASH --
The Elimination Chamber match was good although it should've been better. More use of the chamber itself should have been made. Personally, I thought that we'd seen it all before! Jericho and Micheals stole the match. They were in it for the most part, starting the thing off and they hit some top moves. It's a shame that Goldberg had to finish it for both of them... They deserve title shots... Number one contendership! Definately over Goldberg for their performance in that match-up.
Triple H winning was good. If it couldn't be Jericho/Micheals; Who better than The Game? Exactly... :D
Overall, I enjoyed the Elimination Chamber, despite the match not being put to it's full potential.
