Glenn Roeder has finally been sacked by West Ham, Trevor Brooking has just been announced has the caretaker manager.
I wonder if chairman Terrance Brown has a new name in mind, or is he just trying to take the pressure off himself ?

Maybe if he got paid enough. And had money to spend.

George Graham could prove likely as he's a high profile manager, but would he want to manage a Div 1 club I wonder?

I absolutely loved Brooking as a player, so if he did get the job full time, and then started getting stick from the fans if things didn't start changing straight away that would be a shame.
I think he may just stay as caretaker.

Andy gray was talking about some possible names on sky, Ian Dowie seems to be the early favourite, Bryan Robson was mentioned ( God please no ) and George Graham was also mentioned.

I think that Brooking should be West Ham's manager permanently, having masterminded their winning streak that almost took the Hammers out of the relegation zone. And he's a hero at the club, which should help. :)

Just had a look on the hammers website, all the statement has to say is that he's contract's been terminated and the board wish to thank him for all the hard work he's done for the club following his illness.

Interviws will begin immediately, but no names have yet been announced, and Brooking will take charge for Tuesdays game against Bradford.
