You don't actually have to use an MSN/Hotmail account to sign into MSN messenger. I used to use my old BT Internet account.
MSN doesn't really interest me. I've seen the horrors of an MSN account filled with 100+ spam mails a day, and every idiot and his wench seems to use it. I don't want to be contacted by any more random idiots.
