And that to get rid off it it cost their family £2000.
I mean are they the richest people i know, or the most stupid, or just really crap liars.
First of all the friend couldnt of know that it was my sister who gave it too them, he just accused my sister for no reason.
Second, if they did have a virus it's easy to get rid off/
Third, No way would it of cost them £2000, maybe £30 at a specialist shop or something.
Fourthly, £2000 you would almost be able to buy the best computer in the world, so why bother repairing your old one.

Hence my remark, "You don't half talk some crap.", which rather obviously throws across my intentional point that I believe he is lying.
Comprendé?

Just because a particular topic doesn't satisfy you, doesn't mean it has no place here. What he brought up had a point.
£2000 for the removal of a virus from a single computer or network of computers is ridicules, and you should never pay such a price. There are free Virus Scanning programs out there on the web, or cheap ones bought from the shop. Maybe £30, £40 or £50 to take your machine into a shop and have it cleaned up by someone is more common, but £2000, no chance.
Data on the machine, however, could cost a hell of a lot. But data that valuable would be backed up by its owner ... common sence.

So why not just ignore it instead of getting involved in a willy waving contest? Somebody might find his sister's mate really interesting, but now anyone wanting to read this thread has to wade through a bunch of childish insults.
> Can't you lot take this sort of crap back to the playground?
Well i made a propper post about some fool who thinks that it cost them £2000 to fix a virus.
The Some people ruined the topic.
