I've just opted for the BFG 7800GTX OC, sweet card by all accounts.

R520 has been delayed, CrossFire boards should be out next month with DFI already having theor ready, as for CrossFire Cards, They're out just before the boards at about £40 more than regular cards in the same range. HIS X8** Cards are now produced Crossfire ready

As for the 7800GTX, just read that they are infact 32 pipe boards which can be unlocked with the new Riva Tuner!

I'm defo going with my 7800 for now, especially after seeing some sweet BF2 shots/Benchies.

Apparently current SLI Nforce motherboards will support crossfire, but nVidia could throw a spanner in the works there.

Crossfire motherboards will probably come out during the same time period as the next ATI series.

The 6800 GT is a beast. I'd recommend the BFG OC model to anyone who wants the best AND a lifetime warranty.

I need to build a system at the end of the year.

I'm undecided on a lot of things. I want at least 2 Gig of RAM, probably a X900XT (R520), 500w PSU, PCIe SLi-Capable Mobo (Incase I go for a 7800GTX). The motherboard is a tricky one.. maybe a A8N SLi Deluxe/or something?

19" TFT with a 8ms Response or lower. And all the usual refinements. I'll probaby go for a Athlon 3800 (Dan Diego) or there abouts. It's better for gaming than a P4x... which is what i'll use it for.

Still. All this could change.

Pretty good price on that. I've had a 6800gt Golden sample (ultra speed) since last year. Had a dicky fan on it, and refitted it with a Zalman copper cooler. Overclocks even more now. Wonderful card. Running WoW ar 1280, everything maxed out, and 8x shading. No slowdown, 60+ FPS.

And to the other person saying 200 quid is cheap? I paid 400 for mine. Redundancy is cool sometimes...

ATi might be cheaper, but I prefer NvIDIA all the way. Personal preference. Same as some people choose Intel over Athlon (I'm Athlon. Never owned an Intel)
