I didn't think Liverpool were too bad, either - surprisingly.
Harry Kewell looked as-good-as-ever, but also the only one-man who was ever gonna come close to beating Cudicini, during open-play.
They're backline looked quite strong at times, but Bruno "Zee next Zidane" Cheyrou looked like the piece of French cack he really is - and not an up-and-coming World Cup-winner! :P
It was great to see Chelsea come away as winners - just because they beat Liverpool! :D
I doubt they'll be able to compete, directly, with Man United for the Premiership this season, but I wouldn't be surprised to see them ' right up-there' by the end of next season, with the way things appear to be going now.
They could one-day-soon have THE best midfield in the Premiership...!
And leaving Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink out was a mistake - and that was proven. If Ranieri wants this 'solo-striker' thing to work, he'll have to realise that Jimmy is the man, and that Eidur Gudjohnsen is not.
Now, don't get 'ME' started about that penalty incident....
I agree with AJ, the scouser's are not very pleasing to the eye - barely any creativity when Gerrad's not playing and Kewell is not given the freedom to produce.
I thought Kewell said he had joined the team "on the up" and Man Utd were "on a downturn"
...

Veron is a legend.
Must have felt great for Veron to smash that ball into that net shutting up all those stupid scousers who kept booing him!

Lol, and that's with a good shot :D
Every match I watch I have to sit completely and utterly bored out of my mind watching Liverpool pass the ball along their own half way line before occasionally (once a half) chipping it forward to Heskey who'll volley it towards the roof of the stadium.
They're lucky they got a penalty. Lucky they got a goal. Lucky Chelsea didn't perform as well as they should've. And lucky they even got a point.
