well, if i did it, i'd be gutted too, though i've never had a hamster so i don't know how lovable they are.. but i think there's too much of a hint of, you know, you did kill it yourself basically. oh, and you sorta wrote it like a half-joke, so nobody seems to have thought to realise the hamster died
