Hello. Just want to get some feedback and advice on where I should get my new PC from. I have a DELL at, which has been reliable, though the customer service has been aweful. Currently I debating on whether to buy from three companys. DELL, which I allready have but seem to be a bit too expensive. MESH, which has amazing value for what you get but has also had alot of bad feedback (though the same could be said about DELL). Or from Wire2Fire, who make custom PCs and got a decent review in PC Zone Magazine, but is more expensive than MESH. I considered Alienware which, while reliable and good quality, is simply too expensive. I want to spend £1500 on a relatively high spec PC, and I don't need any monitor. SR don't sell PCs any more, which is what I was going to buy origionally. If anyone has any advice, or knows of other reliable places I could get a PC from, it would be much appretiated.

You should have no trouble fitting everything yourself, CPUs and Mobos aren't even that difficult.

Think of it this way, when I get my new PC, I'll be putting everything in, and I'm rubbish.

I think those systems come pre-built already, meaning no CPU installation etc. required.

You'll still need a monitor etc. but they're cheap enough anyway, if you didn't want the ones you're currently using.

I wouldn't recommend your local bike shop.

Try somewhere that sell PC's, that's probably a good place to start.

Looks pretty good. I would just need to find someone to fit in the Mainboard, CPU and CPU fan, and the rest I would be okay with. All the other compenents are things I've allreayd fiddle with and replaced on my current PC anyway.

Fair dos, but if there's any way you can get a friend or someone to do it for you, it'd be a much better move than buying from a company.

Check out Komplett for some pre-built systems: http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/kl.asp?bn=10298

Here's one which looks pretty meaty and should last a while: http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=109415&cks=PRL

That's a massive saving on your original budget...

I probably could make one myself, although get the mainboard and CPU fitted for me. However, technically it's not my money I'm spending. My Dad is paying for most of this PC, and quite fankly I don't trust myself enough to make it myself, and I severely doubt he trusts me to make it!

Can you not build your own, or get someone else to? Honestly, you'll save loads doing it that way.
