Yeah i guess i am really shy! Very quiet.

my mum would also say the same, all though at times when i do come out of my shell, i can be quite confident and loud. Just not very often

Are you a shy person, then? I tend to be more confident in groups rather than one-to-one - I'm terrible when I'm talking to a girl I like, doing the typical stuttering and saying the wrong thing all the time.

It's very easy via email or places like here though, because you can think about what to say and change it if it doesn't sound right. Hooray for computers!

Aww thats nice of you to ring him like that.

I dont really mind not having a fuss made. Im not one for being centre of attention, im one of those people who would rather not be noticed. I guess i am just quiet like to keep myself to myself.

Some people would say thats hard to believe, as sometimes i like to be heard

Arrrr, that's sad. A friend of mine has her birthday on New Year's Eve, too, and she has the same problem. It was her 30th last time so me and the girlfriend threw a bit of a do for her the day before - we all got well and truly slaughtered and ended up breathing in the helium out of the balloons we'd put up!

Another mate of mine's birthday is Christmas day - I make a point of buying him two cards, two presents and then on the day ringing him to wish him happy birthday, hanging up and then ringing him back to wish him merry christmas.

No one did anything for my 21st, My birthday is on new years eve so people forget its my birthday and celebrate the new year, so none of my birthdays have ever really being celebrated in a big way.

I remember my 21st quite well - I had a party at my parent's house (they'd gone away for a week) and there were about 70 poeple there! It was great but I decided not to drink just to make sure everything was okay with the house and everything. Fortunately, most of my mates know my parents well so there's a lot of respect and the house is always cleaner when they get home and nothing's ever broken.

Did you say you were 21? Did you have a party?

Are you having a party for *him*? No doubt there will be much drinking involved - not for you though, I hope young lady! *stern look*

We've got a cocker spaniel called Rocco and he, too, can be a pain. But most of the time he's great - after I put the phone down to my mum this morning he jumped on the bed (I had just woken up) and lay down resting his chin across my neck.

If you wanna see some pictures ...
