Microsoft dont think they just move mouth before operating brain, The Y-Box may be bug infested just like windows, they know people will buy the console if it starts from 400 and goes up why? because they will boost it and hype it so much, they will have the advert that says the welcome to the 56th place!!

Microsoft were sued because they released windows95 with bugs on purpose, they knew people had to buy upgrades and waste more money on software they didn;t need because 2 months after that out came windows98 which was WORSE!! They were then sued again for monopolyising the market and the company was becoming sooo strong because people had to buy and buy to make there PC's work, WIndows was then the ONLY Operating System in the households in the world. People were like 'Linux' wha?

People who defending microsoft only did thise because they had used no other, and even if they had they wouldn't understand its simplicity and ease of use. they wouldn't understand why there where no 'illegal operations' or no 'system failures'.

now lets see what they do when they enter probably the most competetive market of them all, the console and games market, companies go into liquidation everyday in this market, EIDOS had the 1 million selling WWTBAM and still they had loses on the last 1/4 of 2000. Sega were the Gaming Giant of 1994-95 and now they have been reduced to killing of there super console the dreamcast.

Microsoft are going into an unknown market and just opening there mouth with specs and big companies backing them because there know there is money to be made, so they are trying something new, give the company credit, I will, but I just feel Microsoft dont belong in this market, they are being outsold by most companies in there divison and they are no longer the Top Dogs, but this dog has sniffed a new bone and it has some meat on the end, the meat of Sony and Nintendo which has a limp attached to the console market.

All I can hope for all the X-Box fans is that microsoft dont mess up like they did with there past products.

Microsoft have the money, Microsoft have the fans, but do Microsoft have the sense?

Thanks
er-no

P.S I dont want Microsoft to upset a stable market like what they did with the PC market.

What do you mean?

Too many platforms like Speccy, Amiga, Amstrad... if so, then that had pretty much sorted itself out by the mid-eighties...

If you mean OS platforms... then by the time Windows3.1 came out MSDOS had pretty much destroyed most of the othe competition...

??? After the BBC Micros, Acorns Archimedies, despite the goverment contract, wasnt selling too well... in fact the PC dev costs always lost the company money... in the end Acron were bought out by Intel, because they were developing RISC chips, and Intel wanted to have CISC chips continue to dominate the market...

Their monopoly began with the rather deft MSDOS move on IBM... the Mac dies due to bad image... remeber the PC isnt an MS machine... Mac started to die out when most of the other closed & set circuit systems fell out of favout in the early ninties... However there making a good comeback...

Action was taken as Microsoft were found to

Now

How have they messed it up?

??? What computers? Do you mean Macs?

no microsoft are the messers uppers, before 3.1 there was a big mess because there were many platforms! (a bit like consoles) microsoft had then messed it up with others before the launch of 3.1, they knew this was a plan that would destroy there nearest rivals Acorn and Macingtosh, it did destory Acorn but Apple went into crisis and Microsoft took over and began to take in more money than the american government!

Action was taken as Microsoft were found to be monopolising the market which they had stablized but the market which they had stabilized is the one they had messed up!!

Now Mac have the biggest profits and best selling rat for a PC company! Not only do they sell the best OS they also sell the best computers which u can now run WIndows from! Microsoft in recent times have released 2000 and I just laughed myself to tears, they had taken a step backwards...

Are you kidding?... Before Win3.1 the PC market was a mess...

everybody was doing their own thing

and everyone was compleatly incompatible with everyone else...

I'm not a big fan of MS, but you've gotta give them their dues...

bugs were put in windows 95 deliberately by
microsoft!!! thats why they were sued in 1998-99. they lost soooo much money!!!

I dont think they will get it right with the console, I feel the biggest ever release ADD-ON for a console EVER! u cant just buy the console you have to but part A and part B and part C to make it work.

please dont do the Bill

Windows only has bug because of things like hundreds of hardware variations and lots of different versions of software to cope with.

I'm sure they'll manage to get it right with a simple console!

Microsoft are going to work with Mac soon on a new operating system, only thing is Mac are making it all.

Will this pattern happen with the Xbox? will Microsoft depend on others for the success of the xbox?
