MOD leave a bag out for incineration, containing a "media plan" relating to the Dr Kelly enquiry.
MOD spokesperson "Whoops, didn't think *that* was in there, silly us! Of course we meant to keep it. Honestly, how did this happen? Tcha!"

So it was Blair's spokesman.
I trust he will be fired for going against the Prime Minister's wish for decency, restraint and "proper conduct during this terrible time".

I mean, the government wouldn't actively smear a person that was central to the claim of misused information and lies to justify a war would they?
A person that apparently killed himself, to use the parlance of the media.

That would just be cynical, right?

Odd.
This whole thing is very, very odd.

And did anyone catch the "senior Downingt Street source" talking to The Independant amongst others, trying to smear Dr Kelly as a "Walter Mitty" type character?
This is before his body is even in the ground and despite Blair's pleas for decency and respect.

And Blair's official comment on whether Downing Street would confirm or deny this?
"This is not the sort of thing that I would sanction. This terminology is certainly not anything I would approve of"
Nice answer, but that's not what you were asked now was it?

And still the main findings of the report into whether war was justified have been dropped in favour of John Leslie, Big Brother's winner etc etc etc.

Shameful.

Anyone see the report at the weekend where they found heart things attached to Kelly's body ? Forget what they are, the report was in the tome of newsworthiness that is the Daily Express but should be online somewhere...

I'll have a look

Slap on the wrist for the MOD then. There's too much of "oops, didn't mean to burn that" and "uh-oh, didn't mean to slash those", going on at the moment.
