The UK Wrestling Channel has been given the green light for a launch in October.

The Wrestling Channel will air as part of the Sky Digital service and will be free view, as long as viewers are subscribed to the Sky Digital service.

The channel will air programming from NWA-TNA, Combat Zone Wrestling, The UK's Frontier Wrestling Alliance, Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling NOAH, New Japan Pro Wrestling, Major League Wrestling, Irish Whip Wrestling, XWF, CMLL, UPW and Women's Extreme Wrestling.

Also airing on the station are RF Video Shoot Interviews, and classic episodes of UWF, Mid-Atlantic, Memphis, Florida, as well as British Wrestling from ITV's World Of Sport archives. In addition, there will be a Classic Wrestling Superstars series featuring an assortment of 52 episodes of name talent in other promotions.

There is still no sign of any WWE programs scheduled air on the new channel.

I have so inside info here too. Mainly my own research...

According to the company who is running the channel, NTL viewers should have it by April of next year. There should now be 18 federations now; one pulled out; including "Women's Extreme Wrestling"...also known as naked wrestling. Rumour has it that it'll be a 24/7 channel, I have yet to inquire about this, but if not, 2pm til 12pm, you can't grumble. The channel's head quarters will be in London and the studio's and production
offices will be in Dublin and will be trading under the name of The Wrestling Channel Ltd.

UPDATE

10 hours a day, seven days a week. Can't grumble...

Anyway. It's FREE to Sky Digital subscribers...dunno about the other companies. The actual channel will be called The Wrestling Channel.

Extreme women's wrestling? Does that mean they'll be taking the amount of blown spots and the crapness of a match to the extreme then? :D

You cannot complain about waiting that long when you get all of that! They say MLW is turning into a bit of an ECW fed. Anyone know any more?
