Solskjaer i have immense amounts of respect for your posting on this forum but you are severly annoying me with your persistent rants that abrahamovich will ruin british football, when this is clearly bull, The only thing that abramovich is threatening is to upset the monopoly at the top which is the reason why the man utd and arsenal fans are the ones who are the most rattled and the reason why they are the ones who instantly condemned it, where as other managers such as bobby robson said: fairplay it will make things harder and chelsea have signed some top players i would have loved to get my hands on.

Man utd have spent almost 100 million on players in the last 2 years! a 20 mill+ player is becoming the norm, only for man utd in this country. They signed Veron and van nistelooy for this 2 summers ago, ferdinand last summer and only didn't repeat it so far this summer because ronaldinho screwed them over.

Your wage structure is the most inflated in the league at the mo, You had beckham and Keane both on or around the 100k a week mark yet dare to complain about chelsea, Gigs, Ferdinand etc are on contracts that would butt every one at chelsea to shame with the exception of Hasselbaink who infairness justified his wages when the contract was awarded. Man Utd have been frivolous with money and now something threatens that, it may not happen but them, their, their manager and all their fans no it could and that unsettles them greatly, how many fair weather "prawn sandwich munchers" and misled chinese people are gonna support a beckhamless united if chelsea won consecutive titles and had a real madrid-esque team. This situation hasn't arisen yet, but howlong do you think the glory boys will hang around for? From your opinions in the sports forums and other posts i imagine you are "united till you die" but lets face it at least 70% are in it for the glory.
A team with the likes of Nesta, Campbell, thuram, nedved, viera, vieri, emerson, crespo, would grab pretty much every glory boy in the world. Ok a team like that is so unlikely it doesn't bear thinking about but you know what i mean a team of expensively assembled stars will pull interest away from united and that all means a fall in profits and an end of the big money days for united. I don't forsee this really happening and would be happy if we one the league once in the next 4 or five years and had a good go at europe. But arsenal fans are feeling a lot more vulnerable Not only are they under the far more likely threat of becoming the number 2 team in london they are also looking at the possibility of finishing outside the top 2, this is actually a very likely situation. I reckon as things stand united are likely to take the title as they have a quality and more important solid team that has played regularly together, however arseenals team is so precariously balanced it can't afford not to suceed, I don't think any one would disagree that viera is critical to arsenal and his future is still undecided as is pires' these are uncertain times at hihbury and anything other than securing these players and success could so easily lead to a complete crumbling as they have nowhere near the security man utd or chelsea have.
The way I look at it man utd and arsenal are still the big 2, but they and everyone else know the threat is there and although it is only a possibility the domestic dominance could quite easily broken, and even if chelsea don't suceed arsenal know they are in there dodgiest position since wenger took charge. Anyway My main point is that it is completely unreasonble for Man utd fans to condemn what is happening at chelsea when they have been exerting the same financial muscle to a greater extent is completely unreasonable, Although Man utd's wealth is built on the spoils of success you are still the ones who completely changed the face of british wage structures and have set the bench mark for excessive spending.

There's no way that Abromavich will ruin the footballing game. In fact I think it will make things better.

It will mean that more money has come into the footballing game, where it was being threatened by hundreds of club going into debt.
