"Joey and his new show (Friends)"

Just read on MSN that Joey is being given his own spin-off TV programme, starting next year. Could be okay...

Nothing else to say.

Is that the one where Nicholas Lyndhurst had a wife in WW2 & a fitter wife in modern times, but chose to be with the not-fit one? I watched that. He used to play the piano with Noel Coward.

It's become more of a soap opera than a comedy. Reminds me of Goodheart Sweetheart (yes, I used to watch that) Towards the end the canned laughter would come out like once or twice in an entire episode. Friends is like that to me now.

Joey getting his own spin-off is old news, very old news. It won't work without Chandler though, it's his questions/comments about what Joey does that makes Joey so funny.

Friends is comfort TV, you can watch it when there's nothing else on knowing it'll get you a few giggles. It's not demanding or particularly stimulating but then neither am I.

This show has great potential though. I hate the canned-laughter, all-American, boorish nature of Friends, but a show about a day in the life of an incredibly stupid man - how can you go wrong with that?

People still watch Friends? Yikes!

it's all a matter of taste at the end of the day...
i know quite a few people who are hardcore lovers and haters of friends...but that applies to most films and tv series involving comedy

Frasier is terrible. As will this be.

Them people did it off Happy Days as well.

I don't think it will be too good. Frasier worked because he wasn't a huge part of Cheers.

But with F.R.I.E.N.D.S stars, they only really will work together.

yeah it could be alright...frasier turned out to be a really good spin off show...let's hope joey follows suit
