So, comic fans, who wins the war of the comics? Will it be DC, with their long-standing Superman/Batman franchise and their fantastic adult comics line, or Marvel, with the currently popular X-men, Spiderman et al.

Who's better? Why? Perhaps you prefer...independants?

I like Marvel comics more than DC comics,I prefere the mutant powers and the special abilaties rather than normal abilaties like what batman has,but then again Dc have aslo made superman and Eradicator (never got a chance to read one of his comics though). But I still think that Marvel are going way bigger than Dc.

I'm a DC man, but having really enjoyed Spider-Man the film, I've started to get into those comics as well. Personally, my favourite DC series at the moment is the Batman one (as some of you might know) - though I wish they would drop some of the weak secondary characters.

I used to love the extremely camp Batman series starring Adam West...

Now I'll only watch it for comical and nostalgic reasons - obviously, when I watched it for the 'excitement', I didn't even know what 'camp' meant then.

I prefer Spider-man so I'll say Marvel - but I still class the Batman range of DC comics as high quality.

If you went green and split your trousers I think my first reaction would be to laugh.

The JLA was best during the JLI years, with Max Lord in charge. Fantastic comedy and action mix.

Spider-man (there you go Mystique) has always been pretty good, but I prefer Batman and you just can't beat John Constantine...

You can't compare the two.

DC have the longstanding traditional titles like Batman, Superman, JLA etc and the excellent Vertigo line, and the Sandman franchise, whereas Marvel has reusrrected a lot of old characters like Captain America and given them a new edgier look and feel. Plus Marvel now has the adult MAZ line with things like Alias, Black Widow etc and their new Trouble title is unique.

Independents rule though, but it depends what you want to read, everyone should read either Liberty Meadows or PVP :)
