Subject :: Home and away shirts...
Hi.
I've just recieved my Wycombe shirts which I ordered online. They are both 30"/32". The home shirt, although slightly short, fits me fine. The away shirt is longer then the home shirt, but the sleeves are much shorter. This one doesn't fit me. I'm really annoyed about this, especially since they are both the same size and the home one fits me.
I was charged £5 for the postage and packing, and now I will have to pay the petrol to get to High Wycombe to return my away shirt. I don't want to send the shirt back, as that would cost me too. I'm also annoyed that I've basically been conned into paying an extra £10 just to get the next size up. Is that how you make your money, by making the away shirts smaller then the home?
If I do take it back to Wanderers in Town, will I still have to pay for the extra size and will I get my p&p back? Quite frankly, I am not very pleased with the service that has been provided. Not only was the package just left lying on my doorstep for a good few hours (which I understand isn't your fault), the away shirt packaging had already been ripped open.
I'm not trying to sound rude, I just want to be set straight. Like I have just posted on the Wycombe Wanderers Message Board, if this isn't sorted in a way which I will be satisfied, I'll be sending both shirts back and never giving Wycombe my money again. I don't want to have to resort to that, and I hope that you understand how angry I am.
Thank you in advance if you manage to sort this out.
Gary Broughton.

There, I've just let off my steam on some poor woman who has to read lots of complaints each day.
Oh, and the Wycombe home shirt is just class. I sooooooo love it. Lovely fabric, top look. Only disapointing thing is that it doesn't fit me too well either, as I'm moving into the big boy section :cD I'll pay the extra tenner for the home shirt, but not the away. I'm cool with giving my money to the club, but not when they give me two 30"/32" that are totally different size wise. Ah well, I get to make a trip to Wanderers in Town on Saturday, I think. Which means name and numbers on the back. Whoooo...
Thanks for laug...reading my email. :cD
This guy at Wycombe is getting moody :cD He's replied more then five times now.

Long sleeved doesn't look TOO bad...
*Looks at shirt again*
Actually, I quite like it. :cD

Thank you very much for the speedy reply. If I travel up to Wanderers in Town, can I just change the shirt for a larger size there and then, without having to pay the extra £10? Also, can I return the home shirt to the shop and just pay the extra £10 for a larger size, just to be on the safe side?
As I live over the other side of Heathrow Airport, it might be easier for me to send it back, like you suggested. If I send both shirts back with a £10 cheque enclosed, will I still have to pay postage to return the items and have them delivered to me again, or will that be paid for? Do I simply send it to Wanderers in Town?
Again, thank you and I apologise if I came across rude in my email yesterday.

Happy with both your suggestions, whichever you prefer. The only thing I need to stress please is that whatever you return must be in saleable condition (i.e. not worn/washed/clean/not snagged etc.). When you do return the shirt(s), please also kindly provide the receipt.
Glad we were able to assist.

Seems it's worked out okay afterall. Now all I have to do is get over to Wycombe. :cD
Not too bad, M25 from Staines and then M40 to Wanderers in Town; should take around an hour.
Cong, what colours the Peterborough shirt then? It can't be *that* bad...
...haven't seen the new Forest shirt (Yes, I DO support them) yet...so i'll reserve comment...
It's a very nice kit thank you ;c)

See...crap quality by the way ;c)
That's what you get for supporting a second rate football team, who get their kit from a second rate supplier :p

Mark,
I thought you might like to see this e-mail that we received, perhaps you might be able to reply to it . I have looked at both sizes and yes the blue shirt does have longer sleeves but they are of a differnt style, blue being straight & red being arched from the neck.
Many thanks
Kerry

Dear Mr Broughton
Thank you for your e-mail dated 22nd July 2003. Thank you also for your custom.
Obviously had you visited the Clubshop or Wanderers in Town you could have tried on the two differently styled shirts. On-line ordering does not allow this. With regards your views on sizing, you will note we have forwarded your e-mail to the manufacturers Prostar for their comments.
However, as a gesture of goodwill and without prejudice I am happy to refund your £5 P&P or give you £10 worth of WWFC Clubshop Vouchers whatever you prefer. Please contact Kerry Payne, Carol Loveday or Liz Godfrey-Cass at Wanderers in Town on (01494) 450957 to advise your preference and to change over your shirt.
Alternatively, if you wish to post back the away 30/32" shirt in saleable condition, WWFC is instead of the above prepared to send you a 32"/34" (or whatever size you want) Away Shirt at our expense.
I trust this resolves the matter to your satisfaction.
Yours sincerely
Mark Austin

Prostar are definatly at fault, although Suzie is right, the sleeves are more curved or whatever. Not quite sorted, but still, yey for Wycombe.
