Just SUPPOSE the PS3 is going to be released in 5 years. Just suppose.
In five years time, those specs would be complete crap. We would have advanced so much since then, and it would fail miserably.
Two years time?
The PS2 would undersell far too badly, and would end up causing Sony millions of pounds to be lost.
...Sony, the propaganda geniuses, I think have buggered up bad here. They shouldn't have let anything about the PS3 or anything they are working on leak out. It not only shows weakness, but also would put a HELL of a lot of people off buying a PS2.
Now lets go back, and pretend that the PS3 is going to come out in two years.
How do you feel Ant, that after months of waiting for a PS2, and being disapointed at launch, that your system has already been canned?
And how do you think developers are thinking about the imaginary PS3 being launched in two years? They might be quite a bit peeved at Sony, and will certainly pull a lot of resources from the PS2.
