It just goes into that and then a USB wire goes from that into the back of my computer, it should now just show up as a DVD drive... But doesnt, it doesnt show up atall, it opens up allright and you can hear it spinning the disk around, but nothing comes up...
Does anyone know how to fix this problem as i need to write some DVD for mates, and i dont really want to be taking my CD-Rom and CD-Writer out just to plug that in to see if it works, because even if it did i wouldnt do that because my other to drives are good expencive ones...
Any help would be good please, thanks...
If it was USB2, it's say somewhere.
The picture on the front of the box is a DVD writer inside it, so im must be compatiable...
Unless it was USB2...
Um what ill do it take out my CD-Writer and put this one in and see what happens...
The reason i dont want to sell my CD-Rom is because it is one of them slot loaders, that has no tray...
But ill try that, thanks...
Check if your DVD can in fact write CD's as well, because mine does.
If it does, why not just replace your old CD writer for the DVD one, and maybe even sell on the CD drive.
