You can really see where similarities and ideas for certain movies came from,like Norman Bates mother figure and the human remains scattered around the house in Texas chainsaw.
There's another lesser known mass murderer called 'Albert Fish',who was heavily into sado masochism and cannibalism during the nineteen thirties,apparently when he was caught,he'd inserted 29 pins into his genitals for his own pleasure.
Sound like a good film,not sure who'd play Fish though.
