I can't believe how hot it has been the last few days. It's really been wearing me out. If I had a job I wouldn't be able to go to it. I'm sitting on my PC in the hallway at the moment because it's the coolest place in the house. All my backdoors/patio doors are open, yet I'm still as hot as the sun. Lovely weather to sit in the park and play frisbee and football. And to go for meals by a river in.

My girlfriend's brother-in-law (who was also her godfather). He was a damn good bloke and a fine friend. Their family is gutted.

He had a bad hip and was given some pain killers by his doctor about a year ago. Unbeknownst to him he also had cancer of the bowel which the pain killers were masking until it was too late.

Diagnosed in April, dead in July.

And: no, I didn't mind you asking.
