7 JULY 2003
More than 200 guests gathered at a picturesque Berkshire mansion on Saturday as French football hero Thierry Henry tied the knot with his girlfriend of two years, model Nicole Merry, who famously got the athlete's motor running in a car commercial.
The London-born beauty co-stars with Thierry in a Renault Clio advert, receiving a "va-va-voom" from the Arsenal striker after she dons his team shirt and not much else.

And this past weekend, two years after they first met, Thierry, 25, and Nicole, 23, made their vows at Highclere Castle, a Victorian estate owned by the Earl of Carnavon.
The Earl, whose great-grandfather famously discovered the tomb of Tutankhamen in 1922, hosted guests such as Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana when he wed in the sprawling 3,000-acre grounds of the castle in 1992.

Off hellomagazine site :P
Meanwhile a Man U fan post this on some Thierry Henry homepage forum:

Van nistelrooy is perfect for man utd but wouldn't work as well else where, ill be interested to see if he scores as many this season if there is to be a complete midfield overhaul. If it gels well he will continue if kleberson, veron, and djemba djemba don't intergrate well this season he may find opportunities trying up.

Don't want him! Henry and vieri are far superior strikers! But to be honest im happy with what weve got. If we sign any more players after duff (if it goes through) it has to be a holding midfielder as petit is pretty useless. Davids or baraja fit the bill.

Could the main reason be that Ruud is a lone striker for virtually all the games last season and so he doesn't have lots of passing opportunities because he's too busy spanking it into the net himself?

Henry and Ruud are 2 totally different breeds of striker. Henry remember started life as a left winger and Wenger molded him into a striker when he bought him from Juventus. Ruud is the dangerman lurking around the box ready to pounce on anything with deadly accuracy. He was bought to score goals not supply them and his stats show that he's doing his job bloody well.

check your opta stats for last year.

Van nistelrooy had ZERO yes, Not one assist! not even one little toe poke through to some one else to score, not even a deflection from the horse head into scholes path.................Henry had (drumroll please)...................20! 20 assists! that is a lot! that is more than many of the top midfielders in the country, and you can pile on his goals, Van nistelrooy doesn't create nearly as many chances and can't score from outside the box, henry is a far superior player and is far more creative! and this is from a chelsea fan!

So, now HE's married a "famous" model, eh?

Interesting...

He's a well-know, talented, in-demand footballer...
Everyone wants to sign him...
He's been the hero for his country numorous times...
Big-clubs have been linked with big-money moves for him...
He has his own range of TV ad's....

Sounds a lot like David Beckham, doesn't he!

So, maybe I was wrong to think Michael Owen has the better chance of becoming "the next David Beckham" - it WILL be Henry, after all!

Now, let's wait for him to do something daft with his hair! :D

80 goals in 101 games in two years.

No, you're right, nothing special at all.

Henry? Far better with 64 goals from 104 games over the same two seasons.

Ruud - 1 goal every 1.26 games
Henry - 1 goal every 1.62 games

Who's over-rated?

Van Nistelroy is over rated. Really.

Henry is a better footballer overall I think.
