The film for that was on last night on BBC 1, called "Seven". It was pretty gruesome, could have been a good film but the end was crap. Anyone else see it?

Personally I loved the ending. Downbeat, made you think and gave the whole film a sense of futility.
It's ranked number 55 in the Internet Movie Database top 250 films of all time, so that shows it's quality.
Takes a while to get started, Pitt isn't his best, the ending is fantastic if you get it. I dont think you did.

The whole film revolves around the end; that's why the killer's acts take on significance and meaning. It is a wonderful epithany that he delivers and his message is clear: everyone is capable of performing a deadly sin, whatever their (self) perceived morality is.
Se7en (a bit like well 'ard pop group 5ive) is a fantastic film, the ending is great, not your typical Hollywood happy ending where all is well.

I tried watching that beofre but i fell asleep towards the end.. so yes it must be crap
I'm sure they missed a bit in the seedy underworld part.
