Sure it ain't the beak-smacking 1st class it could have been, but I can solemnly swear that it is one achievement I have truly earned. A lot of blood sweat and tears (mainly tears) went into that, and come next spring I will have three letters after my name, proving to the world that I have got half a brain after all.

Oh I dunno...I mean, I got myself a Desmond and a postgrad qualification but didn't do the Phd thing, and I find that my friends who have got doctorates don't talk down to me, or to anyone not educated to that level.
I do agree that degree's now are regarded in the same way as A-levels 20 years ago; good to have, but you really need to have something more.

Correction fella, if you got an Honours degree, you get seven letters:
