Which one are you reading ? If you haven't already, then get Rainbow Six, Executive Orders, Red Storm, and Debt Of Honour, and Sum Of All Fears - easily his best ones so far.

Do not touch the Netforce series with a bargepole unless you're a completist, and the Op Centre series has moments of brilliance mixed with it's somewhat tedious nature...

I read rainbow six and thought it was pants. its too bravado for me. Chris Ryan is a far better author, his books are much more realistic in my opinion. the one I'm reading now, land of fire, is great.

There good to read on journeys or at work. You can easily pick up where you left off in them, but they're not exactly books that'll have you reading until the small hours of the morning because they're so good.

George R.R. Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' Trilogy is the best thing I've ever read.

For heavens sake don't read "The Real Bravo Two Zero"... To be honest I've always found Ryan's books a tad simple and not very interesting. His account of his time in the Gulf War always seemed a little bizarre to me, and the recent book about the truth behind his exploits there made an interesting read. Still, we all like different authors so each to his own :)

Too detailed and military, I don't care if an f-165392922 missile's range is 1002.4444444448 miles in the wind.

Rainbow Six is great at the action parts - it's a shame there is 170 pages of crap no-one cares about in between.

I remember one book by him that I treasured. I forget it now.

I cant remember.
All I knwo is that it was nearly all action. Short by Clancy standards, but oh so much more enjoyable.
