Right, having seen the Deer Hunter a few weeks ago, and not having the nuts to play real russian roulette, I thought I'd see if anyone felt like a forum game.

The idea is 6 people play, someone rolls a dice for each turn (okay, you don't get the real 1/6, 1/5 increasing odds, but it'll do). Get a one and you 'die'.

When you die, you give up your account and user name and never post under it again.
Of course, you can be reincarnated with a new account, and presumably if you change the e-mail address registered to your old account, you should be able to make a new account using your original e-mail.
Maybe.

I'm in, any other takers?

It was going for realism. In genuine Russian roulette you have a 6 chamber gun with 1 bullet, spin the barrell, so you don't know where it is.

First person fires, with a 1/6 chance of getting shot.
If the survive, they pass the gun to the next person, who fires.
With 1 chamber gone, there are 5 left and 1 bullet, a 1/5 chance of getting shot.
*Continue to death*

Hence the game resembelled the real odds of Russian roulette.

Of course, if every time someone shoots you then re-spin the chamber, you're back to a 1/6 chance for everyone. But overall the first way is fairer (unless you continue after someone dies).

I thought that too, shouldn't it just have been rolled and if the 1 showed up, you lost your account, in other words, everyone could have been killed.

Or is that wrong too.

Well, that sucked.

Here's a version of Russian Roulette, aptly named, "Scottish Roulette" which you can play at home, with a friend, and not be killed.

It's more fun as well.

Take a BB gun, a powerful one for more fun, and a number of pellets, the other person has to guess the number of pellets, lets say they say 18.
At that point, the other person will count out 18.
Now, whatever is left will be loaded, and the other person will lift up their T-shirt or whatever, and reveal bare skin, I'm sure you can work out that the rest are fired at the guesser.

However, let's say they had guessed 21, so, they were three over, those three are loaded and fired at the skin again.

Understand? Now, go have fun.

Heh. It was exciting.

Just a bit lame that we didn't manage to kill anyone.
Only emotionally cripple. That doesn't satisfy my bloodlust.
:^)

Guess another go with people who are genuinely up for it would be good.
Might leave it for a bit though, this isn't the kind of game you can play all the time!
