Thank God for the ability to be able to play old C64 games on the PC, the ability to order a Pizza and recieve it within 30 mins, piping hot, and the ability to be able to download the soundtrack to Ghostbusters in a few minutes after playing far too much of the superb game on the C64 emulator...

This is the first I've heard of this, but it is very sad news indeed.
The benefit of Napster is that you don't have to search for music and you aren't plagued by endless dead links that are on MP3 web sites. The number of different tracks available is also far larger.
I buy quite a lot of CDs but I never buy singles. At around £4 a throw you might as well buy the full album for a tenner and get the songs off Napster in the mean time. I used to buy singles when all but charity discs were £1.99 but that just doesn't happen anymore.
There have also been many albums I have downloaded tracks from using Napster and, if I liked them, decided to buy them and, if not, deleted them anyway.
And let's not forget all the rare, maybe deleted songs that are available on it.
I'm going to go and cry now.
Silly American cow. :-)
Indeed it does.
At least I can get on anyway.
Where did you hear it was dead?
