Well gee, thanks for contributing to the problem by posting and telling everyone about it!

Doesn't matter to me, I only tend to play with Beta trial members and clans that I know and trust not to cheat.

Someone was banned by Sony during the beta trial phase of Socom but I don't know if it was for cheating or team killing or whatever...

Well surely Sony should have thought of this potential problem and put in measures to stop it or at least the servers you play on. Playing on CS is good as after a while the person who is cheating will get booted from that server and be banned from entering it again.

Its fairly obvious to spot cheaters on SOCOM and I guess most people will just stay clear of folk they know are cheaters.

In a perfect world they would trace wach user by their user name and then go round to their house and break their faces with a spanner.

Cheating at games online is the pits. I had an Action Replay for the N64 but that was to get a bit more out of my games, (get to the island on Dam level in Goldeneye. I never made it) but to beat people online using one is unsportsmanlike. There is no pride in that.

Ok, ok, I'm sorry. I do agree, it does seem sometimes that people are cheating, and it does spoil it, but it's mainly on games like Tony Hawks 4 that people cheat. Sony have set up this DNAS server thing though that can check whether you are using cheats. Can't be too succesful though.

Wrong. It's just a statement expressing the disgust in online cheaters. There is no lower videogaming crime.

It was supposed to be an interesting subject of conversation to inject some life into this forum, fool.

Somehow I doubt me posting this is going to make a lot of difference considering I've read it on numerous large games websites. Chances are that anyone who reads this will also read the latest game news on sites that get millions of hits per day.
