The "Freeola Customer Forum" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
I'm curious to know how you found the experience. Did you enjoy it, how about some feedback?
The email I received was also sent to several other people - does this equate to the number of entries you had?
What happened to the idea of the links to the other entries?
Are you going to post them all on here - or can we now post our own for feedback?
I've now bookmarked your page as I discovered your links to other competitions, which I think is a good idea. I may well enter a story I wrote and posted on here a while ago to one of them as for an extra fee you can get feedback.
I really enjoyed having a go at the competition,it's given me a taste for more in the future, cheers Meka.
Might be able to blag a few free copies of a novel to give away, just 3 or so, but then I can give a prize, perhaps for the match the author to the opening line thing I was thinking of...?
Neat.
By the way, when is the next one? I should be able to do this.
Yes, there were only 7 entries into the contest, maybe next time I'll go for more promotion...
But I had a few problems, first of all, work blocked access to all webmail, so I couldn't monitor entries from work, and print them out there. (An attempt to save on paper).
Secondly, I changed my PC, and it took a while to get all that sorted out, so I couldn't update the website quite as quickly.
I'm currently trying to get hold of some freebie books to give away as prizes, I'm not sure how publishers will react though.
I'm thinking of putting some fun little games on their, things like match the author with the opening paragraph, just to make it a bit different from other sites.
I also look forward to the chance to view some of the other entries of this competition, to see, hopefully, just how much we collectively made it difficult for Meka to make a final judgement.
Can I also thank Meka for taking the time out of his own hectic schedule to run this competition for no gain to himself other than an opportunity to read the entries before anyone else does.
I rock.
