Ain't life weird?
Went to a jam night last night at a pub in Chelmsford. Just a local covers band that do a set and then people can stick their name down and play a couple of songs etc, good drunken fun.
I get up and we play Another Brick in The Wall (with 17-that-day female guitarist....mmmmmm...young.....) and a couple of blues jams. Excellent fun, I was pie-faced and happy.

Some bloke comes up afterwards and says:
"you in a band?"
"...er yeah"
"want to play a couple of gigs with a blues band?"
"..er yeah alright"
"Here's my number, we'll rehearse next week, come along"
"alright. I'm pished"
"Doesn't matter, oh what're you doing Bank Holiday weekend in August?"
"Dunno"
"We're playing a festival, that's why we want you. Fancy doing it?"
"alright"
"We'll sort out accomadation etc, Friday, Sat, Sun we're doing gigs. 50 min set, straight blues numbers, you'll walk it"
"alright...I'm going for a slash now. Bye"

So I mash drums in a drunken rock style in Chelmsford, next thing you know I'm in a 3-piece blues outfit booked to play here:

Life's strange. But in a good way. And I totally had sex last night.
