What Real need is a powerful centre-back who can feded the midfield and dispose of high balls- like Jaap Stam, for example.

If they don't stop buying attackers and start spending on some decent defenders soon, they may be faced with some very Brazil-like problems within the very-near future.

All one other European team has to do is to exploit thier weaknesses at the back with some strong counter-attacks, and out they go!

Just look at Brazil against Turkey last night...
How many goal should Turkey have had from counter-attacks?!?
Where were the Brazillian defenders in that second-half??
Were they playing in the attack, or something?!


When was the last time you saw a DECENT Brazillian centre-back?!
That 30-something Junior Baiano, backin France '98??

Man Utd number 2 "Carlos Quirez [sp]" is apparently the favourite for the Real Madrid job.... another headache for Fergie.

Just that most of them are good.

In spain the directors are just as important as the managers, their director has been there quite a while now, i think.

The directors make all the decisions on buying players, look at that Barcalona new bloke.

Team wins league in 2003 but only finishes as semi-finalists in champions league. Boss gets the sack!

They cant have it both ways. And you surely cant expect the team wo win the champions league every bloody year?

Anyways, i hope they get Wenger. I've had enough of his crap. Especially after saying Arsenal were the better team last season even though they didnt win the championship. At least Ferguson admited Arsenal were the better team the season before.

Wenger will probably flog most of the Real team though, and just sign the whole French National team.
