Watched this on box office last week, which was the second time I've seen it. In my opinion it is a quality film and kicks the crap out of the phantom menace. there's a bit too much smoochy smoochy rubbish between amidala and vader boy, but apart from that its A1.

Looking forward to the next installment, especially as its gonna be really dark and evil apparently.

Attack of the Clones was probably the worst film I've ever seen at the cinema, Phantom Menace was a lot better. I completely agree with Mojojojo - the special effects were for the most part mind-numbingly tedious, with a non-sensical plot badly deformed in places just so Lucasarts could spend a few more million dollars on rendered explosions. I never quite understood what people didn't like about the Phantom Menace - it was well structured, it had a good plot and good characters (Binks being the notable exception) and was clearly Star Wars, unlike the detached yawnathon sequel. I find the recent trend towards braindead, purposeless special effect sequences in cinema disturbing - Matrix Reloaded suffering perhaps even worse than Attack of the Clones. Films have to do more to engage with their audiences than blow stuff up.

I went to see it for Yoda. My world rocks he.

Sammy L forgetting the script and deciding to go Pulp Fiction was class.

Thought it was pants.

Only bit I enjoyed was when Portman (dressed in sweet bodysuit thingy) came bouncing off some ship.

The rest of it was stupidly dull.

yeah the last 45 mins are great, but my favourite bit was the jango fett and obi-wan chase through the asteroid field. fantastic

I guess I'm the only one who didn't like the big fight at the end? No way near as good as the end battle on Endor in Jedi.

Remember, Lucas, epic does not mean entertaining. Han, Luke, Leia and Chewie blasting stormtroopers in Ep 4 is much better than two huge armies battling it out.

It was watchable, but no Lord of The Rings.

The last 45 minutes are the nuts. The rest is just plain crap.
