Many teams are supremely skilled. Some become legends. Which is the best, though? I'm saying Real Madrid's tea in the late 50s and early 60s- who nelse could win 5 European Cups in a row? But can any other team match this brilliance?

A good point, but you could also argue that the standard of play has gone up significantly since then. It's hard to compare different teams from different era's.

I'll have to have a think about this one.

That's EXACTLY what I think. You can't really name one great team without leaving another great team out.

I agree with Venom and Virtuoso. There is no way you can compare teams across decades. I will tell you my favourite team of all time. It was the AC Milan team with Papin, Van Basten, Rikjaard, Gullit, Baresi, Costacurta. That was a great team.

I agree with Mandatare. Wycombe Wanderers are without a doubt the greatest team ever.

I can say that they have a good team, but not great. They managed to get to the FA cup semifinal a couple of years back, but were outclassed comprehensively by the more fitness-aware Liverpool. however, I'll have to back down on the claims of the old Real- the standard of play in Europe was quite poor back then- I mean, although they had a good team, since when would you beat the German champions 7-3 in a Europoean Final?

Nevertheless it is a major achievement. However, the currnet Real team has to be seen as magnificent.
