GOALFEST 2003/2004 SIGN-UP ANDRULES THREAD

Welcome to what will be a truly great competition. Those of you that entered last seasons trial, will know most of the rules. This time it has been improved with cups added into it.

You’ll find:
Goalfest League
Champions Cup
Professionals Cup
Goalfest Cup
Pre-season Cup


GOALFEST LEAGUE --- League --- All

- Everybody will be competing against each other in one big league.
- You start with 100 points, which you can gamble on the Main Bet.
- You will be able to bet all your points on the Main Bet, up until February where you will only be aloud to make a MAXIMUM stake of 50% of your points.
- For every bet made you will gain 2 points at the end.
- Anybody betting with decimal places will find that their bet will be rounded to the nearest number.
- Only one answer per bet, meaning you can’t do things like this: Scholes first scorer, but if he doesn’t start I’ll have butt.
- Bets can be changed but not cancelled.
- Anyone joining late on will find that they will start with the lowest points. If the lowest amount of points in the league is above 100, then they will only start with 100.
- Anyone with a name change, must clearly state when betting.


GOALFEST CUP --- Knock-out --- All

- This will be a 1 Vs 1 knock-out tournament
- You will each have different betting matches to bet on.
- Each person has 10 points to bet with each round
- One who has the most points in the 1 VS 1 goes through to the next round.
- DRAW – If both people never betted, then Both of them will be knocked-out. If they both betted, then the one who is highest in the Goalfest League progresses.
- Every person that bets gains 2 points for the next round, but will not carry their winnings.

PROFESSIONALS CUP --- League knock-out --- All

- Each person starts with 15 points.
- The bottom placed person after each round gets eliminated.
- You gain 2 points for each bet made.
- Each person will get 1 JOKER and 1 CRUEL CARD in the whole of the competition.
- JOKER – this card will double your winnings in the Main Bets and Free bets
- CRUEL CARD – This card may be placed on anybody you wish and will see their winnings halved. Only one Cruel Card can be placed on any one person in each round.


PRE-SEASON CUP --- league --- All
- This is just to see who knows their football, before the season kicks-off.
- Predictions on who will win the Premiership, FA Cup etc.


CHAMPIONS CUP --- League style B

- Winners of the: Goalfest League – Goalfest Cup – Pre-season cup – Professionals Cup – *Champions Cup* enter.
- It will start off with 1 Vs 1, until everybody has played each other. You’ll get 3 points for a Win, 1 for a Draw and 0 for a Loss.
- After all 1 Vs 1 games have been played, a ALL-ON-ONE will begin. Everybody will have a different match to bet from each other, and will see:
1st = 5 points, 2nd = 4 points, 3rd = 3 points, 4th = 2 points, 5th = 1 points, 6th = 0 points

*** Because nobody has one the Champions Cup yet, the one who come 2nd in the Goalfest League will enter.***

Foreman is the KING of Betting Leagues! =D

Was already planning on doing this before Asher done the FA Cup. I think he clicked on when I turned the League table into Premiership, Division 1 etc.

That was Asher D's idea Mandatare, but I'm not sure how he was going to do it.

I'm just going to concentrate on this one now, but it's up to you if you want to do the Champs league.

I will sign up, but I dont think I will be able to compete as much as I would like...stupid bloody job!

I'll sign up as new guy to the competition. I have been watching it for some time now and have learnt the rules, so I'm up for it. :)
