"I actually like the idea of the roster split"

I've been reading a lot of anti-brand split sentiments, and whilst I share the negative opinions to an extent, I actually like the idea of a roster split.

Firstly, a lot of other people are getting a chance to shine - who here honestly believes Christian would get a IC reign if the rosters weren't split? Who thinks Brock wouldn't have been pinned? Ultimately, I don't think that WWE will get a WWF/WCW competition going on, but there is more variety and people to see, and that is a good thing IMO.

Don't get me wrong - Bad Blood was a let down for me, and people who read my post a week ago know I was looking forward to it. But even though there were man things wrong that doesn't mean its the way its always going to be - this is the first one! Sure, if I was paying it may be different, but I'm not.

Compare the first Raw to nowadays - sure, there are some things that will never change, but one thing I always feel from a lot of wrestling sites, and this forum quite frequently, is negativity. Instead of looking the negatives all the time, be optimistic - there's certainly something you like, otherwise you wouldn't still be watching.

If we all had a shot at something, then someone shot us down immediately at the stuff we'd done wrong, then we'd think it was unfair. The roster split may indeed not work, but the least we can do is give them a chance to improve.

Yeah, that would have soooo rocked, old piper getting whooped by Y2J it would be good too since Jericho would get cheered, yay!

I would've liked to see them face to face at a PPV... Jericho would have whooped his candy @Ss! :D

Yeah, I know what you mean. Like when Y2J had that little verbal assault with Piper, LOOOL that was jokes!

I like the idea of the roster split. I just don't like the way the WWE are carrying it out. It could've been so much better. The brands don't even link up at all any more. I liked it when they were in competition with each other, as it was possible my favourite stars from RAW could meet my favs from SmackDown. Now that they're completely isolated, I sometimes don't get to see some of my favourite wrestlers in fights, as I'd like to. Grr.

It's a good idea, just poorly carried out.

I would like to say that RAW had the right idea a while ago. I remember a while ago there was a show where Bischoff was looked to recreate RAW, and we had matches like RVD vs Jeff Hardy in a ladder match that night...something different, y'know?

That's what we need. Something different...who remembers Unforgiven 2000? The feud was Benoit vs Undertaker vs Kane vs Rock, the build-up was great! Four blokes beating each-other up for a month, it was great! :D I know we need 1v1 feuds, and at that time they had HHH vs Angle which was awesome too.

At the moment there are too many singles feuds put together just so the wrestlers aren't unhappy. People like Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner (although he's improving) and even Big Show are being put in the main events when the fans don't want them there, and they shouldn't be there! The WWE wants to make sure it doesn't waste money, which is why they are there, and Jericho/Benoit/RVD/Kane/Booker aren't.

I'm still undecided on the roster split, just thought I'd make that point.

*sigh* And if Hurricane wants to try and Hurrislam be bring it on, of course if he does you won't see him for a few weeks so it's really up 2 u.

I'm taking a break from SRW in a few weeks, so I'll be able to concentrate on building my Hurricane fansite. YeY!
