There are the English festivals such as:
- Download festival
- V2003
- Reading/Leeds festival
- Party in the park
amongst others
Then other, larger scale festivals such as Ozzfest etc
So what do you reckon is the best music festival around?
1987 Iron Maiden. Loudest gig ever.
Anyways I'm off to Reading this year, should be quite good, the Whitestripes are there so that's good although most bands seem to be the ones that I just see as "ok-ish" so I'll be needing a lot of alcohol/drugs to see me though.
I would imagine the best ones would have some excellent modern rock/indy bands on during the day, aswell as a lot of 'old classics' (early 90s). NONE of this cheesy pop crap that we see in the charts. And at night, lots of very good dance such as chemical brothers, prodigy, fat-boy slim, moby, orbital .... yadda yadda yadda. the beer would be cheap also, and it would be infested with luvverly laydeez
It's nothing special at all, it's got to be the most over hyped line up ever. I'd still like to go because the atmosphere is meant to be fantastic, but I'm not bothered about not going. If Radiohead weren't playing, the line up would suck, except for a few bands on the smaller stage and the Manics.

Whilst reading is still not great its getting better - blur, white stripes, beck, mars volta, mark lanegan, darkness, electric 6, soad, metallica, junior senior, datsuns r all worth seeing, tho linkin park headlining still sucks.
