*Takes sack of money from Meka_Dragon*
A report on the charity thing we did, and quite heartwarming it was too. I'm glad to see all those kids happy... brings a tear to my eye... *sniff*
Anyway, anybody willing to copy the thing onto this topic? I would, but I saw it in my friends mag, and don't want to rejoin *quite* yet...
Make a banner with Ali's words of wisdom on it.
Thanks again to all who participated and to those who supported the idea.
I agree.
"Order yours now you idiots" is a super idea for a PS2 advert or banner ad.
I'm just trying to think if it's legal to say things like that. There's some law against trying to make kids feel left out if they don't have one.
Ali chooses the Gameaday winners. That's right, Ali reads the contributions and picks the winners. I wasn't sure that you realised this.
Most people talk to him nicely, or at least politely, you see.
Having saved his hard-earned cash, and waited until after our customer orders were fulfilled, Ali now has a PlayStation 2.
As Ali is a keen gamer and a movie buff the machine is the ideal choice for him.
And, no, Special Reserve does not give PlayStation 2's to members of staff.

Here goes:
"Great Ormand St thanks Gameaday winners
In the run up to Christmas, a number of Gameaday winners generously offered to donate their prizes to charity so, Special Reserve organised delivery of a Playstation 2 pod to Great Ormand Street Hospitalfor Sick Children. Fourteen winners kindly donated their prizes which meant that 12 Playstation 2 games and 4 DVD films were donated to play on the hospitals new console.
The children and teenagers at the hospital would like to say a big thank you to everyone who made a donation which they described as "the best Christmas present". 11 year old patient Luke said "hanks for making my visit to hospital worthwhile. It really cheered be up when I knew there was a Playstation 2...It's fantastic with excellent graphics"."
There is also a picture below the aricle with the following text:
"The kids at Gt. Ormand Street Hospital for Sick Children enjoy a game donated by a Gameaday winner on their shiny new PS2 pod at Xmas. Thank you for all your fantastic contributions."
I feel fulfilled.
No I don't, I need more sugar.
