Getting a new monitor soon and wanted some opinons on which one to get. I am after a 19inch and have looked at quite a few. I have seen an Hitachi one at www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog /Online_Catalogue_Hitachi_CRT_136.html
is that one any good as its a 0.19mm one when others i've seen at the same price are only 0.24mm. I have heard that some companies use a different pitch than others by stating the vertical or horizontal when others state the opposite. As this is a horizontal pitch is this what is usually measured on monitors or is it normally the vertical pitch?

If any one else can suggest a good 19inch CRT monitor for £185 or less?

Didnt bother with this. Went for a 19" Samsung 0.20mm dot pitch. Had much better resolution support and refreash rates, plus it was flate screen where as the Iiyama wasnt.

Just spent £1285.45 on most of my PC. Need PSU, Motherboard, Heat sink and Mouse to complete my PC. The place I normally get stuff from was having a special price weekend. So ended up getting alot of the stuff there. A Radeon Hercules 9800 Pro for £327.24 not bad really :) just over £30 saving from SR and £20 from another online store. Case was £135.11 but its one of those Thermaltake Xaser 3 models. Overall I think my PC will be quite a beast :). Better than my crappy crashing and noisy vibrating case PC. Only got a 1.2Ghz Athlon at the moment as well as a crappy Geforce 2 MX200.

Oh and not sure about hitachi but i think any monitor you buy, shouldn't have problems if you buy it from the right company.

I got a CTX 17" one last year and it does 1600x1200 in 77hz and 1280x960 in 90hz which i think is pretty darn good and will last me a while.

Whats for £140?

So is the Hitachi 19" any good? As most other monitors at this price range have 0.24mm dot pitch when this has 0.19mm. I would like to know whether this monitor is actually going to be any good as I dont want to spend £185 on something crap.
