'Have youm had an accident lately that wasn't your fault?' Isn't an accident, by definition, nobodies fault?
What has happened to our society? 50 years ago, if you fell off your chair at work you would be called a 'clumsy oaf' and told to get on with it. Nowadays, 'Barbera Collier' can claim £6,000 for falling off a chair and spilling her tea over herself.
Has anyone here ever tried to claim compensation for tripping up, spilling their tea or breaking their nail? Is there no such thing as a true accident anymore?

Perhaps, I don't know how these companies have the audacity to transmit such rubbish in the same hour as the brilliant Matthew Wright! They should be ashamed, and then hang their heads in shame.

That's giving it a bit too much credit than deserved Deb. I think the words your looking for are 'utter' and 'sh!te'
It was an advert for holiday compensation. It was so cheap and tacky (even worse than the one where they are jumping over hurdles!) There was this bald, tragically poor actor claiming that you can now sue for having a cr@p holiday. No, this wasn't the worst part; it went on to show a woman with singularly the WORST Essex accent ever on a phone saying, "allo, this is

No it won't you little scum sucking fool!
I read that a man in America (i believe) is suing himself for making his own life a misery.
he suffers from multiple personalities and claims one of them makes his life miserable. If the court finds that any given personality has no control over the actions of any OTHER given personality, his insurance people will have to pay him.
*applauds the guy for trying at least*
that's ridiculous....

that Liberty X re-sing makes me want to cut people! :)
(I know they're implying someone else was driving really, but thats just the way it always struck me)
I also find those Halifax adverts really annoying
