"How Rude!"

Since I am going to have 10 weeks off school (hehe) when my exams finish, I decided to apply for a summer job. I rang up a restaurant where I can get work either waiting tables or washing up, some of my mates work there and say it is easy work and fairly good wages.

Anyway I rang up and was told I would be rung up either last night or tonight, they didn't ring me last night and I was expecting a call tonight so I have purposely kept the phoneline free by not coming online. I finally decided I needed to revise business studies so I rang them up to see if I could ask about whether they wanted me to work there.

Some woman, who sounded about 12, told me they wouldn't be ringing me back for quite some time as there were people above me on the waiting list. I began to ask if it would be easier to get a job as a waiter or washer upper and she hung up on me. The cow! How rude!

Its funny in a stressfull, "argh" sort of way. Im not stacking shelves, Morrisons hate me.

You have to remember though that it's you who wants to work for them, hence if you want to work there you'll have to put up with them messing you around. Me, I'd be looking elsewhere.

Nope they stick to the waiting list like flies to... well poo!

Go to the restaurant in person.

They'll feel pressured into giving you a job.

Or something.
