What a diabolical program ... who is that Westwood gimp trying to kid? He's some 30 odd year old skinny white bloke who thinks he's a 20 year old black rapper. He looks ridiculous, and the way he talks makes me laugh.
So much bent wrist, fling your arms about, 'bling' action and pointing at the camera when he talks. It was like some kind of wind up.
Seen the American version before, never really liked it though some of the cars turned out surprisingly well ... this was just ... wrong. And they pimped a 1.3 litre Nissan Sunny ... nnnnnice ...
Westwood's claim : "You now own the best looking Nissan Sunny in the world, man!!!"
Dreams really do come true ...
Pimp My Ride
Car makeovers. Host Xzibit customises a 1985 Chevy Suburban with a make-up kit and a sink in the centre console.
Question is do i watch it instead of Eastenders :P
> If by 'great', you mean 'cringe-worthy' ... :)
Yup, you've got to laugh at something so... well, silly!
Anyway, Pimp My Ride UK is a horrific show, and even rivals The Office in terms of sheer cringy-ness. Love it.
That said, it's great TV! :D
(ETC...)
I actually think Westwood has become a hilarious parody of almost every black wannabe in the country...I think you were more then generous with your assesment of his being in his 30s though, he's been on the Hip-Hop scenece for at least the last 25 years, so I'd guess he's over 40 at the very least...
As for PMRUK...I like the fact they choose typically British cars to change from run-down to ridiculous...
"The best Nissan Sunny in the country".
Not something to shout about!
> Westwood is alot more entertaining to watch than Xzibit though
> and his radio show is pretty good aswell.
A lot more entertaining? He's so bad it hurts. He should stick to radio, where he's not half as annoying. He thinks he's cool, but he looks and talks like a complete idiot.
Xzibit and the US show are far better.
