I'm wanting to create a nice flashy animated banner for my site. I have a number of JPGs which I want to use as each 'slide' of the banner, I just need to know how to save them together as an animated GIF file... Bear in mind I have no idea about how to do this or whether I need some special software...

- Animation Shop (with Paint Shop Pro)
- Microsoft GIF Animator
- Flash MX (poor quality GIFs result, though)
- GIF Construction Set Pro (http://mindworkshop.com)

Download "Microsoft Gif Animator". It's incredibly easy to use, and of a tiny file size. I tihnk you can get it from the Microsoft.com site for free, but if not try Google. Failing that, download the latest Paint Shop Pro demo - it's about 40Mb, but it comes with Animation Shop, which has some decent slide transitions and an animation optimiser.
