Hello again...

I'm wanting to create a nice flashy animated banner for my site. I have a number of JPGs which I want to use as each 'slide' of the banner, I just need to know how to save them together as an animated GIF file... Bear in mind I have no idea about how to do this or whether I need some special software...

As per usual, any help appreciated, thanks in advance! :)

not without knowing what browser they're using. Try asking other people and see what they find.

Well, I got Microsoft GIF Animator after much searching on microsoft.com to no avail (despite them saying it was freeware and could be downloaded, they neglected to provide any links to places it could be downloaded from...)

Anyway, created a little GIF animation, and all was fine. Until I asked a couple of people to check it out after uploading. Worked fine on my Comp, and on one other persons, but two reported it wouldn't work... :S

Anyone have any ideas why this might be...?

It's not included (unless you have StudioMX) but it does integrate with it.

Flash is designed to handle BMPs though. All other formats, either pasted or imported, arre subjected to some sort of optimisation algorithm that leaves them squishy and retarded.

For GIF animations, I never used anthing other than Fireworks MX or the GIMP (gimp.org/win32)
