If Carlo Cudicini applies for citizenship, he won't be the only player to change nationality. Here are a few examples of this occurance:

Ferenck Puskas- Hungary 84 caps(83 goals), Spain 4 caps. Hungary's greatest ever forward, who played up front with the almost as great Sandor Koscis. Exiled after the Commy invasion, as was his coach. They both went to Real.

Alfredo Di Stefanio- represented several countries because many of his relatives were immigrants. Played for Columbia, Argentina and Spain. Played for Real Madrid during their Heyday in the 1950s, when they collected 5 successive European cups. Played a famous dominant role in the 1960 match against Eintracht frankfurt, a 7-3 win.

Kristian Karembeau- From New Caledonia, but played for France.
Jimmy Floyd Hasseilbaink- From Surinam, but became one of Holland's men.
Thierry Henry- Really from Senegal. Scary, since they beat the Frogs at the last world cup. Can anyone think of any other players?

Come on Carlo, learn more English, and join us!

Freddy Adu the new football wonderkid that has everyone talking has just been granted American citizenship so he'll be representing them instead of Ghana where he was born.

Yeah, but those were the countries that those two had relatives from, so they didn't really "change".

Don't you mean Patrick Veiera? Or is it Marcel Desailly? Well, one of them is Senegalese, and if Henry is, I've learned something new.
