Forgive the new person saying this, but isn't calling this forum "Life and Everything (Intelligent Discussion)" about equal to calling "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here" intelligent programming ? Or Pop Idol entertaining ?

Fair enough, I haven't posted here yet so maybe that means I should shut up, but going down the threads there are here I find topics about;

*Shaving
*P*nis cramp
*Vanilla Coke
*3 Posts of someone self-important enough to announce his leaving the forum
*Someone who seems not to have noticed they stopped bombing Iraq about four weeks ago.
*Various bits of poetry.....enough said

It's kind of like being in Year 7 all over again.......! From what some people have said in other posts I gather there is a feeling that the quality of posts in here has done something of a rapid complete spiral downwards ?

There is intellegent discussion from time to time, it comes in waves y'see.

Yeah, I like his stoner poetry.

And various short stories by me ... which rock. In a depressing, suicidal kind of a way.
And don't you belittle my poety. 'Tis the king of all verse.

I wasn't defending them. I was giving you what I thought you wanted - an explanation of why the stuff is here.

The solution is don't come into the forum.

I don't get what your problem is with people posting poetry. I think its fairly intellegent to wirte poetry, buthen I would, wouldn't I?

Hey, I don't care what the Memorandum guy says, those topics are boring and on the same intelligence level as reality TV, well maybe not quite that bad, but certainly bordering on it.....

Still, love the way he tries to defend the ones I pointed out. Excuse the 3 posts on if that was a mistake, but the shaving thing was just dull, and the Iraq one was worse than the kind of junk the gutter press comes out with on a regular basis. If the war is, supposedly, an ongoing topic here I don't see much evidence of that, and if it's all like that one then I'm glad of it !

I can understand his point on some of the pointless stuff that gets posted in this forum.
