After reading the RPG topic, I had to make a FPS one! So blab on lets beat the RPG topic in messages. I personally feel that Doom is the all time FPS game. Of course, it doesn't compare to the games of today and tomorrow but it was one of the games that started it all.

How could I forget - Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II is the best FPS ever!!!
I would probably have to say Doom also as its where it all started. We have come a long way since then and seen some fine games in the genre. My favourites would be Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, TWINE, Alien Resurrection, Medal of Honor and the awesome Quake III !! I havent ever played Half Life but Im sure its going to live up to expectations once its released (on Dreamcast that is!!). Im also looking forward to Red Faction on PS2, this sounds quite promising!!
Doom didn't revolutionise FPSing it was the internet! People ran at the opportunity to play each other over a server. For many it was a dream come true, cn't see why but it was. Most people play UT and Q3:TA others like their strategy but as far as FPSers go I think we have a lot to thank the internet servers for!
I think FPSers will become a lot more advanced wih the release of the GAMECUBE and the X-BOX, I want to se a really good Turok game, I think that the levels could be absolutly amazing! The graphics would be ace!
