The topics quite self explanitory by its name, but I'll go into a bit more depth. On another set of forums I visit we have a creativity forum... now I doubt I could persuade SR to make one of those, but within that forum we have a topic called the "Small arts discussion thread". What you do is post your artwork and then people can discuss it, critisize it and give tips. I'm not sure how many people are into Computer Graphics here but I thought it might be a nice idea.

I'll start off with my latest submission for a Graphics Battle:

I dont really have time to look at them all, but I'm guessing that all work done by me, means that you made it in Lightwave on your own but you didnt necessarily not use a tutorial? Just wondering because in the small arts thread i was talking about someone has made a peice basically identical to yours, just obviously the models are in different places.

Yeah, both reasons. I've done loads of images in drop-down colours. Sometimes it's just easier for adding different backgrounds and stuff - especially if there are loads of frames, but I just happen to like the style it produces too. The full length animation is going to be wicked. I'm really stoked for this, even more after seeing the Matrix tonight!

Heh, clever that actually. I'm guessing the drop in colours was to produce the look of a cartoon? I'm guessing it lowers the filesize as well.

I filmed a radio control car (stationary) in my hallway, moving the camera to make it look like swerving and stuff. Then I transferred it to PC, where I editted it to 10 seconds, dropped the amount of colours to 16, added a "contour" effect to each frame, then blurred them slightly, found some sound effects, chopped up the music and put it all together in ULead VideoStudio.

Progs used:
Paint Shop Pro 7
Anim Shop Pro 7
ULead Video Studio

Time taken:
1 hour for 10 seconds of footage!

lol, thats cool. Looks a bit like you were on acid when you made it though due to the colours, but what can I say? Its unique ;) How long did that take and which programs?
