Certainly planning to go ad see the Matrix Reloaded again tomorrow though, if only for THAT fight between Neo and the Smiths - favourite bit so far, and boy is Revolutions going to have to go far to top that.
If you were to watch an anime series like Cowboy Bebop (which might appeal to Matrix or sci-fi fans), which is about 26 episodes of 25 minutes each, what you get throughout the series is great character development and you end up learning loads about each character and end up caring about them a great deal, even though they're just animated characters.
I also watched The Animatrix 'Detective Story' not long ago (it's directed by Shinichiro Watanabe also the director of Cowboy Bebop, so a similar style is apparent), and though I liked it, it also proved too short as I didn't know the main character well enough.
I think each Animatrix episode should have been at least 25-30 minutes.
I'm still tired and ain't woken up properly.
One comment I made whilst watching The Matrix was that although they could do all these amazing effects, they didn't go over the top with them, and so they were great, as was the film.
But, The Animatrix was nothing but a show off of computer animation, which, to me just looked like an over-done FMV sequence. Too much special effects, not enough realism. I just didn't give a damn about the Osiris crew and wanted them all to die - and got my wish.
But, it does supposedly introduce Reloaded, adding that little bit extra to the story. So I had to watch it.
I wont do it again though.
