Just had a look at the special reserves site, where they claim to have a special offer on a printer, whereby you save £50 on normal retail price. However, I have found this to be untrue, as I have had a look at high street store as well as other online store prices - all which sell the printer at exactly the same price quoted by the special reserves site!!!! So, makes me wonder what they mean by saving £50 on the retail price, as this obviously isn't true. Just putting this in as a word of warning to other unwary buyers.

Wow! So, no10 you`re one of the people who runs this place. Basically the official group. I didn`t know that.
I`ll add it to the list of things I don`t know. Actually, that list hasn`t been made because its too long. Maybe I`ll just make sure it never goes on the list of stuff I know. Then again that list hasn`t been made either. Ah well, ramble ramble...

The SAVING shown on the SR sites does represent your saving against RRP. Realistically we can only show savings against RRP as it would not be possible to check our entire product range of 4,000 stock items against our competitors and their prices.

I do not think the message is misleading. It is generally the case that companies advertise their savings against RRP - and I think the public at large are aware of this.

It might mean the 'Recommended Retail Price' (RRP) that is set by the manufacturer. However a retailer is free to price at whatever they want, but it usually is the RRP so that they can get a good profit on the item. They can sell it for less than the RRP and state , for example; £50 off RRP.

RRP Reccommended Retail Price.

It may be that nobody any longer sells the item at the RRP, but it doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with saying that it's now £XX cheaper than the RRP.
