Just had a look at the special reserves site, where they claim to have a special offer on a printer, whereby you save £50 on normal retail price. However, I have found this to be untrue, as I have had a look at high street store as well as other online store prices - all which sell the printer at exactly the same price quoted by the special reserves site!!!! So, makes me wonder what they mean by saving £50 on the retail price, as this obviously isn't true. Just putting this in as a word of warning to other unwary buyers.

Dear Langley Village Co

May I ask if you can tell me what happened to the home of Paul Nash, the
landscape painter? He grew up in the house his parents built in 1901, Wood
Lane House, Iver Heath, near Langley.
His grandfather lived in Langley Rectory, Langley, and was a farm owner and
lay rector.
and Paul Nash is buried in Langley Church. Do you know which church this
is?
His time there is described in his autobiography 'Outline'.

many thanks

The website is excellent – a lot of memories for me in those pages. I grew up in Trelawney Avenue and lived there from 1956 until I went to uni in 1974 – I had a great childhood in Langley.

I am trying to get hold of a copy of the booklet ‘A New Start- The LCC Estate In Langley 1954-2004’ and wondered if you know of any copies for sale – Slough Museum say that it is now out of print.

Thanks for all the hard work in putting the website together – lots of facts that I didn’t know about when I lived there!

kind regards

CHRIS WISE

Hello, My name is Hollie Graham and although I have never lived in Langley (in fact - I am Australian!) I have found photos of my grandfather in front of a very grand house, and on the back of them it states "Taken at Langley Horse Stud, Slough". My grandfather was a bomber pilot and the photos were taken in April 1943. I was wondering if you had any idea about any horse studs that would have (or still may be) operating during that time? I would love to find out more about my Grandfathers life while he was in the service.

Thank you so much for your time - I can be reached at [email protected] and am eagerly awaiting any information you may have.

Kindest regards,

Hollie Graham

Hi, my name is Kelly Evans and my grandmother, Mabel Phyllis Howard Evans, is a former resident of Langley. She came to the states shortly after WWII as a war bride, and now my family resides in Texas. I happened across this website (which I really like, by the way), and I was wondering if anyone might have any information on a yellow house (which may or may not have qualified as a manse/estate) that is or was in Langley. The Howards were the family who lived there, and a picture of the house was made into a postcard. Unfortunately, I don't have an electronic copy of it, or I would send it to you. Just out of curiosity, I'd like to find out if the house is still inhabited or if it's been torn down since the family moved.

Thank you,
Kelly

My name is Chris Morrison. I am a firefighter in the Cleveland Ohio area. In 1996, I came to England and stayed for several weeks and just had a brilliant time. While there, I became quick friends with my coach driver Mr. Mick Lunnon from Ralphs Coaches Ltd.

Mick and I got to be good friends and unfortunately fell out of touch. I am trying to find him again. He and I wrote back and forth for years. He was married to a young lady by the name of Corinne.

My last known address for him was 10 Orchard Way, Langley, Slough, Berks, UK SL3 6QQ.

Can anyone there help me track Mick down? I miss him and would really love to get back into contact with him.

If anyone can help, I would GREATLY appreciate it. He is a great guy!

Thank you to anyone who takes any time or concern with this email.

God bless you for your time and/or assistance.

-Chris Morrison

PS if anyone knows him or is able to track him down, I have moved. Please give him my new address and email address, all info is as follows:
