I haven’t written anything for a while and I’ve just filled in all my paperwork for the Fire service as I’m due to start on Monday.

Pretty dull writing the same crap over and over, but at least they put in one bit that cheered me up.

Section 4 of the personal details equalities form,

"Are you ’out at work’ as:
Please tick one section from the list below.

Bisexual
Lesbian
Gay
Transgender"


Please tick one? It sounds mandatory. I’m tempted to tick "lesbian".

My hand hurts twice as much now. Ironically, I burnt myself.

And who cares if they aren't actually up to the job as long as the company can say *ooooh but we have one of those people, see we're not discriminating*

What gets me about it is this. I applied last November. Got in first try and I start on Monday. Some of the guys I saw at the beginning who were "ethnic" have been working now for about 6-months.

You may, but the answer will disappoint. I burnt it on a match when burning some old bank statements.

Why not just get a paper shreader? Easier and safer.

I have one, but there was too much and I'm waaaaay too lazy.

Heh heh, so just grab the matches, and have a little entertainment.

Yeah, but the matches were poor. They were free from Freshers. I blame them for my burn. I didn't pay cash for them, but I paid skin.

I can semi-sympathise. My finger hurts. I cut open the end with a bread-knife whilst I was making sandwiches. Nothing hurts more than a cut from anything with a serrated edge. :-|
